This tour allows you to discover both the sculpted mountains
of the Yao and Zhuang people with the Longji rice Terraces, and to make
an incursion into the country of the Dong near the remotted
borders of the Guizhou province. This
chinese minority is renowned for its wooden architectures : the Drum
Towers, the Wind and Rain bridges and their spacious wooden houses.
DAY
1
LONGJI
Leave at 8h00 in the morning from the hotel,
drive 3 to 3.5 hours to Longsheng county, lunch in Ping'an
village, visit Longji Terrace Fields and
villages of minority Zhuang, Yao people. The guide will take
you along small trails away from the crowd to some scenic
spots. Stay overnight at Ping'an in a local wooden lodge.
DAY
2
Small walk in the morning to an ancient Yao village hidden in
the rice terraces. Meet with the local Yao
women with their famous colourful dresses, silver jewels and long black
hair touching the ground. Meal in a local restaurant. Travel with the
vehicle for 3 hours to the village of Chengyang. Settle in the local
wooden lodge and walk to a pagoda at the top for a unique view
on the Dong villages of Chengyang.
DAY
3
Early
morning taste of the traditional oil tea, a speciality of the local
minorities. After having enjoyed a folk danse with bamboos and
local rice wine (!) walk around the villages of Chengyang and discover
their amazing wooden architectures such as the drum towers, and several
wind and rain bridges. Drive back to Yangshuo
and transfer to the hotel.

The prices in foreign currencies are just an indication
and fluctuate in
time (last up-date 26 March 2009). If you want to pay in your local
currency, the cost will be
calculated from the chinese price and converted on a
daily base rate. 20% discount for children under 1m40. Free for babies
(less than 2 years old).
The tour price
includes :
- Air-conditioned vehicle with an experimented driver.
- Hotel accomodation at Ping'an (air-condition) and Chengyang (no
air-condition) in local wooden lodges.
- Service
of an english speaking

The
tour price does not
include :
- Meals and breakfast (you are free to choose the type of
food that
suits you best.
Our guide can advise you according to your taste, expect about 30 to 50
yuan for a meal per person, 20 Yuan for breakfast, guide included).

Options
:
- Instead of sleeping in Ping'an the first day you can do the
walk to the rice terraces of Jinkeng and sleep in a local village lodge
(simple facilities - 40 yuan less per double room on the total
price).
- In Chengyang it is possible to sleep in a hotel equiped with
air-conditonned
rooms. It is bigger and a little bit out of the village. Expect to pay
50 yuan more per double room on the total price.
