ABOUT US 

The Rosewood Inn is a family run hotel. The owners are two brothers from Hong-Kong, Steven and Sam Wong.

Sam, originally from Hong-Kong, worked for 11 years as an english interpretor. After performing his duty as a chapter President of the Chamber of Commerce of Hong-Kong, he runned his own buisness in China, exported cosmetics towards Japan, and ended up in Yangshuo thinking it would be a good place to retire...

But Sam was not the kind of man to stay inactive. In 1999, with the experience of Steven who worked in the tourism buisness in Dali, they created several restaurants along the famous and popular West Street. Their desire was to introduce to the visitors more choice, better food and services, with the similar value and quality that they both experimented during their travel around Asia.

With the same motivation they created The rosewood Inn in 2005, a new kind of accommodation in Yangshuo, offering style, a homely authentic feeling, with superior services and facilities that provides a high rate hotel but with prices fixed to the local standard.

You can find Sam or Steven most of the time having a quiet drink at the Cafe Del Moon, or on a terrace in front of one of their restaurants. Both make sure everything is running smoothly, take time discussing with the customers or share a drink with the local residents...just feeling at home in Yangshuo.

Our ever smiling receptionist Sophie is always delighting our guest with her joyful and optimistic character. Beeing with us for over 2 years now she has improved considerably her english. Sophie is in charge of the tourist activities and tours for the Rosewood Inn, and will always do her best to find the perfect solution for your leisure in and around Yangshuo.



Sophie, with the help of other staff , our international adviser, she can organize activities such as guided trip, ballooning, bamboo rafting and reserve tickets for the Liu San Jie night show or transportation. She can also serve you as a guide into the local country-side, visiting her village near Moon-hill, or for longuer trips into the minority region, a chance to discover the charm of the Longji rice terraces, Dong villages...and for her to try one of the local dresses !

The Rosewood Inn is like a family, all of our staff comes from surrounding local villages. Whether it is the receptionists, waitresses, cooks, drivers, cleaners, guardians.... all are here to make sure you have a great time in Yangshuo, with this special hospitality feeling proper to our local culture. At the Rosewood Inn the staff will always be freindly, helpful, and honest towards the guest, whatever problem can arrise, they will do there best to solve it.

GUIDES

If the visitors of Yangshuo usually look for the most scenic spots of the region, they also have a strong desire to experience the local sights in a more authentic way. Following this guideline, the Yangshuo Rosewood inn tours will give you a good idea of the scenery and the local life. You can discover those by bamboo rafting, bicycling into preserved countryside, river cruising or by visiting the minority villages near the Guizhou province. All our guides, Sophie, Stacy, Robin, Xiao Lin and others... come from the surrounding villages. They know where to find the unspoiled spot and give you the natural feeling of Yangshuo. Those tours include bicycle trip but they can be replaced by electric scooters or by taxi.
